About Dandara
Hello! I'm Dandara Domingues, Clinical Psychologist (CRP 06/189717), PhD candidate in Psychology and researcher.
My practice is guided by psychoanalytic clinical work. This means I work with careful listening to what appears in words, silences, repetitions, and contradictions — without rushing to conclusions or reducing experience to simple explanations. The focus is not to "fix" the person, but to understand: what repeats, what persists, what hurts, what confuses, what blocks, and what also sustains.
I believe that psychotherapy is a journey of encounter with one's own history, with desires and conflicts, with what has often been left without a place. That's why I continue in constant study and ethical commitment to clinical practice: because each person arrives with an entire world, and that world deserves care, responsibility, and seriousness.
My office is a space free from discrimination based on gender identity, sexual orientation, race, belief, or any other social marker. Every way of existing should be treated with respect.

Psychotherapy is a space to name what once seemed confusing, give place to what was silenced, and reorganize what weighs heavily.
How the therapeutic process works
I work exclusively online, in a confidential and welcoming space. Sessions typically last 50 minutes. Based on what you bring, we gradually organize the experience: understanding how you think, feel, and relate to yourself, others, and the world.
The work happens at each person's pace. Rather than seeking quick fixes, psychotherapy opens clarity to recognize patterns, internal conflicts, ways of protecting yourself that no longer work, and parts of you that ask for space to exist. It's not a linear path, but it tends to be a path of more truth, more support, and more freedom to choose.
I also work with themes related to life projects and the future — especially when the future seems absent, when life feels "on hold," or when it's necessary to rebuild direction and meaning without forcing yourself to fit into expectations.
Psychotherapy doesn't seek to create a "new version" of you. It seeks to bring you closer to who you are, with more resources to live your own life in a possible way. Internal demands decrease and life starts to make sense again.
In the therapeutic process, we can work on topics such as:
Anxiety and anguish
When restlessness takes up more space than you'd like in your body, mind, and daily life.
Sadness and emptiness
Persistent sadness, discouragement, or feeling of emptiness, even when "there's no clear reason".
Routine and procrastination
